LISA & JEREMY
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT RAVEN HALL, YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
The english weather strikes again!!!
Lisa and Jeremy chose to get married at Raven Hall Hotel with its stunning views looking over the north sea.
The week before we had glorious sunshine and temperatures reaching 35 degrees. I set off nice and early to capture Lisa getting ready in the lodges and the weather wasn’t looking promising. Black clouds soon turned into a downpour and the wind was howling. I should be used to it being a yorkshire wedding photographer.
When I arrived at the lodges Lisa and her bridesmaids were all in good spirits, a bottle of prosecco and a full english breakfast and it was time for Lisa to get in her dress.
I made my way up to the ceremony to meet Jeremy and his groomsmen waiting excitedly for Lisa to make her grand entrance.
3 flower girls, 2 page boys and 5 bridesmaids later it was Lisa’s turn to walk down the aisle and in to Jeremys arms. It was an awesome moment watching this gorgeous little family come together.
Throughout the ceremony their little boy was glued to their side which made for some great photos. He was obviously wanting to make sure everything went smoothly and it did, an amazing moment of the day.
After the ceremony it was time for drinks and a catchup with their friends and family before I took them away for a few photos around the grounds.
The weather had finally dried up but the fog decided to pop out and say hello. I told Lisa and Jeremy to embrace it and they did just that!!!
A nice walk and a few giggles and it was time to head in for the speeches and meal.
Full bellies and speeches over with everyone was ready for face painting, music, drinks and the first dance.
The sun had set and the fog was thicker than ever so for the final time I took the newlyweds out for some photos. I was so pleased that they trusted me and embraced the weather as we captured some beautiful moments.
Moral of the story – seize the opportunity no matter the weather, it’s your day, capture them memories.
Lisa and Jeremy thank you for fighting the wind, rain and fog…it was an adventure 🙂
