24°c in April…..Annie and Sam struck gold with the weather on their wedding day.
They decided to get married at the beautiful Sandburn Hall on the edge of York. I’ve had the pleasure of working at this venue on a handful of occasions and it was awesome to be back and working with the amazing Sandburn team once again.
The morning started off with the girls getting ready in the lodges at Griffon Forest. A few glasses of bubbly and it was time for Annie to get in her dress, and what a dress it was!!!
I headed over to Sandburn hall where Sam was waiting very calmly for his bride and her bridesmaids to arrive. A couple of pints down his neck and it was time to head to the ceremony room.
Their little girl was the flower girl and melted everyone’s hearts when she ran down the aisle to give her daddy a big hug..bloody cute moment!!!
When Annie appeared, jaws dropped and tears were flowing. It was an awesome moment watching these two come together, Sam was like a cheshire cat.
The ceremony was short and sweet – the highlight for me was when the registrar said “Sam, do you take Annie to be your lawful wedded wife?” and Sam responded with “ohhh Aye”
After the ceremony we headed in to the rose gardens for a few portrait pics before I left the newlyweds alone with their guests to eat drink and be merry.
After the speeches we quickly nipped out for a few pics as the sun was setting, Sanburn Hall never fails to have an awesome sunset. It was nice to pull them away from their guests for 5 minutes so they could grab a breather and enjoy a bit of alone time.
Soon after it was time for the cake cut, I was super excited about the cake as it was made by the very talented Sarah from Blush Cake Company (the same lady that made our wedding cake) and it looked incredible!!!
On to the first dance and party time, lots of Jager bombs and shots of gin and the night was well underway.
An awesome day!!!
